How to play Snowball

For writing, we had to make an instruction manual about how to play a game of our choice. I chose a game called snowball which nobody in my class has heard of before.
Snowball was my favourite game when I lived in a town called Haast, but I haven't played it in years so I chose snowball because I might be able to play it again.

How to play Snowball

Snowball is a fun game about teamwork and dodging the ball!

The game's duration can take as long as you want, but everyone must have had a turn running. You need six or more people to play.

Equipment
One dodgeball
A court with lines on it

How to play
1. Split the players into two teams. Name one team the taggers and the other the runners.

2. The taggers spread out anywhere on the court as long as they're at least two meters away from any line.
The entire runner team lines up at any corner of the court.

3. The first runner in line throws the ball anywhere on the court. If the ball goes out of the court they have to try and throw it again. Once they have thrown the ball they have to run on the lines and try to get to the opposite end of the court.

4. The taggers pass the ball between each other and try to hit the runner with the ball.

5. Once the runner gets to the opposite end of the court, their team gets a point. The next runner in line gets the ball and repeats what the previous runner did. If a runner is hit by the ball or the ball is caught by a tagger when the ball is thrown by the runner, then the teams swap roles.

To win, all you have to do is get the most points.

Tagger rules
- You must stay at least two meters away from any line unless you are passing by it to get to another part of the court.

- You cannot run or walk while holding the ball. You can still turn and jump.

Runner rules
- When you are running you can only stand on or directly next to the line.
